About Us

Sue Trottier
I get asked a lot where I find my inspiration. I have to say that I find inspiration in everything...whether it is in nature, the work of other artists, walking around garage sales or flea markets looking for "treasures", or simply surrounding myself with paints and brushes and letting my inner child play. Inspiration is an inner feeling that I get, a sense of what I find beautiful. I follow my "feeling of beauty" with a sense of wonder and excitement as I allow a randomness and imperfection to remind me that perfection is not the goal, so that I may in turn create something that I find beautiful. There is a spiritual connection in my art that stems from my desire to express the divine through creativity. I am therefore inspired and touched by whatever I find beautiful in the world around me - whatever evokes a deep connection and feeling of what I like to call a"soul-driven" need to make something beautiful.
Art is also very therapeutic and I find myself needing it in times of stress as a way to heal and get through the emotional ride that life can be. Art is always a metaphor for who I am and reflects my life so perfectly that it makes me laugh, at myself, of course!

I get my inspiration from the sheer beauty that surrounds my life like nature, colours, just things that catch my attention. The photo's I take try to show the beauty of our world and try to be uplifting. There's so much negativity out there so it really is nice to see the beautiful things that are out there.
There are times when I take the dog for a walk and see such a beautiful shot that it could only be appreciated by myself in that moment. It usually brings tears to my eyes and my heart glows with the thankfulness of being able to see this "Live and in person" From the great wrath of Mother Nature to the sheer beauty of the suns' rays breaking through the treetops in a forest, we have it all and are making it available to you. We consider all of our work personal and just love it! We hope you do as well.
A little bit more about me - I used to be a Regional Manager for a merchandising company. I had to go on a leave of absence due to my liver failing last year. I was given the gift of life from my youngest son. I received 70% of his liver on December 2, 2015. It has been a long road to recovery and they still say that it will be a year before I can return to work. I had the chance to "go to the other side" quite a few times before and after surgery. I chose to stay on this side of the ground lol.... My inspiration is my family. My wife, my sons, their wives, and our grandchildren! They are what made me pull through this terrible ordeal. The one that I am truly blessed with is not just my immediate family but also the love and support that came from the rest of my family and all of my friends. You never know who your true friends are until you go through a near death experience. It truly is humbling....
